‘PANCHTATVA – THE ESSENCE OF LIFE’- The Annual Concert 2023-24

NESSS Pays Tribute to the Eternal Elements that Personify the Human Body.

Under the canopy of stars in the sky and in the presence of glitterati stars as guests, the evening of 4th November 2023, saw New Eraites regale the existence of the five elements – Earth, Wind, Water, Fire and Sky in its mega Annual Concert 2023-24, 'Panchtatva- Essence of Life’. The vision and the mission behind this theme were to make the present generation conscious of the need to sustain these elements. The student participants became the voice of this theme and campaigned to spread this message through their performances.

The event had elitists: Shri Viral Desai, an entrepreneur, environmentalist and author; Dr Shweta Singh, Joint Secretary (Academics) CBSE and Dr Geetika Madan Patel, New Era Managing Trustee who encouraged them in the gala night.

Words of inspiration from the Guests of Honour and the Managing Trustee enlightened the young minds towards realising their goals in life.

The key address by the Greenman, Shri Viral Desai urged young minds to be the ambassador of change to sustain the environment and value the time in hand.

Adding to the takeaways, Dr Shweta Singh and Dr Geetika Madan Patel emphasised on making every child feel differently gifted. The reflections of their experiences in their speeches threw light on how to work with lil bright minds.

All in all, the three intellects catapult the gathering with their simple yet power packed words.

The reigns of the event were in the hands of the Art and Cultural Departments that worked tirelessly to make the celebration of these elements a memorable one. From scripting to penning down the lyrics for the songs was the creative effort by Mrs Samrudhha Maratha, Head of Sanskrit Department. Mrs Kelkar, our Director also contributed her ideas for some of the songs.

The icing on the cake was the choir group who infused rhythmic life into the script under the mentorship of the music teachers Ms. Grisilda Christian and Mr.Abhijit Khandekar. The culmination of the colourful props, vibrant costumes, high energy levels of the participants and the perfect dance moves choreographed by our dance educators Dr. Manjiri Patwardhan and Ms. Dikshita Patil added waves of thrill among the audience. The stage dawned the look of the elements that were created under the craftmanship of Mrs. Sumedha Pendase, Mrs. Shivani Vaghela and Mrs Nivedita Saraswat. The new avatar of the Panchtatva kept the viewers in sync with the mesmerising LED graphics designed by Adarsh Sharma, the IT headwith. One of the highlights, was the Annual report presentation compiled by Mrs Rupa Mehta & Mrs Rashmi Buch which was indeed a treat to the eyes. The spectators hailed the team efforts of the Principal, facilitators and students.

New Eraites applauded the achievements of the budding stars of the CBSE Board for Grades X and XII for the year 2022-23. The award section also saw the dignitaries give away the in- house honours in academics and co-curricular activities to the deserving and talented pupils. These achievers have proved to be a real inspiration for other students. The staff who have been serving the institution for decades were also felicitated in the event.

PANCHTATVA, the directorial debut of Mrs. Leena Nair, was completely in-house with 400+ participating students (Grade 6 to Grade 12). The show gave on-site training to the students in planning, performing, and showcasing their talents.

Events like these are not just the key note to the past but to the future also. The Senior Annual Concert 2023-24, is one such event that will help every individual to carry the baton of sustaining these elements of Panchtatva in their own small ways. The invincible New Eraites will continue to be the torchbearers of many such positive changes through the spectrum of other upcoming events.
