A Reader’s Journey to Becoming a Writer

NESSS BUDDING WRITER DURVA RANE SHINES IN THE CBSE BUDDING AUTHORS PROGRAMME

The talent and persistence of our promising writer, Durva Rane, SS3 brought a moment of pride for New Era in the CBSE Budding Authors Programme in Category 3 (English) - Classes 9-10.

As a part of the program, students were asked to submit stories in both Hindi and English. Durva submitted her story titled 'A Day in Aisley's Life' and it was selected in both the initial phase conducted by the school and the second phase conducted by CBSE on the online platform. Durva’s story received appreciation for its exceptional quality.

After the selection process, all finalists, including Durva, received editorial support to finalize their creations. With the guidance of her mentors, Mrs. Rashmi Patel and Mrs. Priya Nayar, Durva developed her winning entry while adding her personal touch to it.

This winning entry of our promising young writer will soon be published as an e-book on the CBSE Academic website. This achievement is a testament to her hard work and dedication and serves as a shining example of what can be accomplished with perseverance and passion. The Principal, Mrs. Leena Nair, was elated to see Durva's name on the list of top 10 entries nationwide in its category. Durva's talent and consistency in creative writing have been well-reflected in our school E-magazine 'Kaleidoscope' too.
