NESSS HDFC TEAM PUTS ON THE WINGS OF FIRE TO EXPLORE ISRO Our HDFC ERGO Team consisting of Akkriti Behuray and Heer Shah of SS-1 along with their mentor Mrs. Geetha Iyer had the privilege to visit the ISRO unit in Hyderabad as a part of the learning and development program sponsored by HDFC. The visit was an enriching and inspiring experience as they got to witness the achievements and innovations of India’s space research. The tour began with an inspirational presentation by Mr. Srinivas Reddy, a scientist at ISRO, where he briefed about the history, vision, and upcoming missions of ISRO. Through visual aids, he walked them through various rocket and satellite missions, while explaining the technical aspects of the launch process. He concluded by discussing ISRO's future missions, such as RLV-TD, Chandrayaan 3, Aditya L1, and Gaganyaan. After the lecture, our NESSS team was escorted to the museum where they saw the models and exhibits of various satellites and launch vehicles developed by ISRO. They learned about the benefits and applications of these satellites in fields such as agriculture, forestry, urban planning, disaster management, and environmental conservation. The team was amazed to observe the precision parts of rockets such as the nozzle, oxidizer, fuel tanks, guidance system, payload system, and the navigation satellite system NavIC that provides accurate positioning and timing services to India and its neighbouring regions. The visit to ISRO was an unforgettable and educational experience for our students. They left with a deeper understanding of space research and a profound sense of admiration for ISRO's accomplishments. New Era is grateful to HDFC and ISRO for providing such a wonderful opportunity to our students.
