Manifesting the best practices for grooming Adolescence:
New Eraites got an opportunity to participate in the National Adolescent Summit-2022 on the themes of Life Skills, Mental Health, Safety, and Well-being. It was held in New Delhi from 15th December to 17th December 2022. The entire programe was an enriching experience for the students as more than 170 CBSE schools from across the country participated in this mega event. New Eraites proactively took part in various events as listed below:
1. New Era exhibited the best practices in Life Skills, School Health and Well Being by setting up a stall which showcased these practices. The visitors were enthralled by the presentation. Glimpses of same can be seen in the photographs.
2. New Eraites participated in Competitions.
a. Thematic Painting - Kashvi Singh of Grade-11 was awarded the
Jury Award. She also received a Gold medal and a certificate
for Utopia painting - “Changing World of Adolescent”.
b. Rhetorics – Young Orators
Kashwi Srivastava of Grade-11 Humanities, demonstrated her views
and oratory skills on the topic – “My dream School – Child
Centric, Child Friendly”.
c. Solo Indian Classical Dance
Yashashvi Raol of Grade-9 presented a Solo Classical dance,
wherein she was applauded by judges and audience for her
efforts.
d. Nukkad Natak
Darshi Vakharia, Yashashvi Raol, Kashwi Srivastava and Kashvi
Singh presented Nukkad Natika on “Save the Girl Child, Save
Our Society” and created awareness.
3. Yuva Sansad – The Adolescent Metal Health and Well Being
Parliament
Darshi Vakharia presented her views on The Adolescent Metal
Health and Well Being in the Yuva Sansad.
4. Manovriti - Screening of Theme based Short Films by Students
The team, Darshi Vakharia, Yashashvi Raol, Kashwi Srivastava and
Kashvi Singh shot a film on the topic – “Peer Learning for Effective
Adolescent Life Skills” which created an impact on the audience.
5. Quiz on Adolescence
Kashwi Srivastava and Darshi Vakharia participated in the Quiz
Competition.
On the last day of the Summit, the guide and the main coordinator for the event– Mrs. Linata Arande and participants were awarded by certificates by Mrs. Rama Sharma, CBSE, Director Media & PR.
New Era also wishes to thank all the in-charge teachers who groomed the students for various events namely, Mrs Manjiri Patwardhan for dance, Mrs. Shivani Vaghela and Mrs. Sumeda Pendse for painting, the English department for training the Orator, Mrs. Meena Rana and Mrs. Manisha Jha for providing student’s work on life skills for stall decoration, Mrs. Samruddha Marathe and Mrs. Manjiri Patwardhan for Nukkad Natika, Dr. Susmita Basu and Mrs. Zenat Buddhvani for the Yuva Sansad Parliament and also the students who helped the participants by giving various inputs for the stall.
