New Era School Model United Nations concluded with the bang of the gavel, marking the end of a thrilling two-day journey of diplomacy, debate, and discovery. The conference witnessed exceptional performances from young delegates who transformed into global leaders, tackling pressing world issues with eloquence and conviction. From the opening ceremony to the final resolutions, NESMUN 2024 was a testament to the power of youth in shaping a better future.
A heated debate unfolded in the Lok Sabha over balancing economic growth and inflation post-pandemic. The Congress questioned the BJP's economic policies, highlighting issues like unemployment and regional disparities. The BJP defended its record, citing schemes like PM Awaaz Yojna and MGNREGA.
The United Nations Security Council deliberated upon middle-east tensions, focusing on arms trade and regional security. Cyber-attacks and historical grievances dominated the discussion, allowing the members to prove their mettle.
UNHRC Day 2 ignited passionate debate on indigenous rights. Australia faced intense scrutiny over alleged abuses, while Bhutan and China emphasized peace and equality. Moldova and Ethiopia clashed over accusations, showcasing improved delegate preparedness. The committee's energy promises a bright future for these young leaders.
The hosting body, class 11-H and teacher in charge Dr. Susmita Basu received acknowledgements for their tireless efforts.
The event ended with delegates sharing their experiences and prize distribution ceremony.
