Shaping Future Leaders & Inspiring Democracy -  NESSS Sparks Civic Engagement with National Youth Parliament - Kishore Sabha

New Era Senior Secondary School  proudly hosted the National Youth Parliament – Kishore Sabha, an initiative by CBSE which is launched by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

As the nation gears up for general elections, the youth parliament sessions at NESSS echoed the pulse of democracy, fostering active citizenship and shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

The event not only aimed to instill democratic values, promote discipline, and foster tolerance towards diverse perspectives among students, but also provided insights into the parliamentary practices and procedures.

The one-hour rigorous program commenced with the arrival of the honorable Chief Guest, Mrs Ami Rawat, a name synonymous to great leadership in the field of politics. Under the stewardship of Incharge Teacher, Mrs Susmita Basu and the NYP Coordinator Mrs Anuradha Kacker, the event unfolded seamlessly.

A total of 47 budding leaders from classes IX to XII participated in the program, which began with the oath-taking process and progressed to engaging debates and discussions. Topics of discussion included the National Education Policy 2020, Agricultural  Reforms, leveraging Artificial Intelligence, security concerns in Arunachal Pradesh, and media ethics in times now.

The session concluded with a voting process, that resulted in a tie after two delegates abstained. The Sabha concluded with the words of appreciation from the Chief Guest, acknowledging the students' dedication and enthusiasm.

The NYP team at NESSS pledges to continue organizing such sessions and give leaders of tomorrow a platform to raise concerns and discuss issues that matter them.
