SDG Warriors 2023 – 24 – An Initiative to Be the Agents of Change “Ask not what your planet can do for you- rather ask yourself, what you can do for your planet.” Today, the youth make up the world's largest generation, comprising 43% of the global population. Their courageous and adventurous spirit, combined with their vivid imagination, makes them a dynamic force capable of addressing global issues and creating a more just, equitable, and peaceful world. It is therefore crucial to raise awareness among these young minds about the SDGs. With this in mind, SDG Warriors 2023-24, an Inter-School Signature Event, was organized by New Era Senior Secondary School on December 2, 2023. Twenty Seven (27) reputed Schools from in and around Vadodara participated in this event. As the host school, the enthusiastic New Eraites also competed in the individual events. The competition was graced with a panel of experienced and eminent personalities who with their expertise judged the myriad of competitions. The judges in different categories were Mr. Prashant Khanna, Mr. Nikhil Jumade, Mr. Sameer Dholakia, Ms. Dipali Choudury, Ms. Madhura Khadelkar, Dr. Sanjay Rana, Ms. Sheetal Shinkhade, Ms. Riddhi Bagha, Mr. Debraj Goswami and Ms. Shanta Samanta. Winners in different categories are : Category A - ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY 1st position – Avlon World School, Waghodia 2nd position – Avlon World School, Vrindavan Township 3rd position – Vatsalya International School Category B - SUSTAINABLE HEALTH FOR HUMANITY 1st position – New Era Senior Secondary School 2nd position – Anand Vidya Vihar 3rd position – Podar World School, Sherkhi Category C - REDUCING POVERTY & INEQUALITY 1st position – St. Kabir Indian International School 2nd position – Delhi Public School, Harni 3rd position – Bright School, Karelibaug Category D - SUSTAINABLE LIVING 1st position – Shree IB Patel Angel Sr. Sec. School 2nd position – Bright Day School, Vasna 3rd position – New Era Sr. Sec. School Category E - POLICIES TO SUPPORT SDGS 1st position – Anand Vidya Vihar 2nd position – Anand Vidya Vihar 3rd position – Baroda Public School, Por It was a tough fight to bag the Rolling Trophy which was won by Anand Vidya Vihar, Vadodara. The program was a remarkable success, with over 300 participants showcasing their boundless creativity and innovative ideas to sustain and save our beloved planet Earth. Through model making, song compositions, street plays, video presentations, and poster making, they left the judges and audience in awe with their stupendous performance. The competition was led by the NEW ERA students, demonstrating their leadership and excellence. The NCC Cadets and Student's Cabinet played an integral role in organizing this remarkable event.
