With the blessings and guidance of our Director Mrs. Priyadarshani Kelkar and under the leadership of our dynamic Principal Mrs. Leena Nair, New Era Team successfully organised ' Bharat Ek Khooj'- an Inter-School Event on 3rd December, 2022. This event was an initiative to join hands with the nation in celebrating “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 years of Independence and the glorious history of India, its people, culture and achievements.

26 reputed Schools from in and around Vadodara had participated in this event. Our enthusiastic New Eraites also participated in the event but did not compete in the competition. 

New Era Trustee and the Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Geetika Madan Patel, graced the occasion and encouraged the participants with her motivational speech. The Principal, Mrs. Leena Nair also shared her words of wisdom.

The competition was held in 6 Categories for different grades namely:

1. Category A - AZAADI KE SENANI 

2. Category B - VANDE MATARAM 

3. Category C - ICONS OF INCREDIBLE INDIA @75 

4. Category D - INDIA @ 75 YEARS 

5. Category E - AZADI KI KAHAANI……A FLASH BACK 

6. Category F – ‘INDIA AND I’

We were fortunate to have an eminent panel of jury members, all with great expertise in their field of work to judge the competition.

The Rolling Trophy was won by Delhi Public School, Harni.

The entire programe was a huge success with over 300 participants showcasing their oratory and literary skills, be it acting, singing, character portraying and were applauded for their wonderful performance. The participants enjoyed the competition as it gave them a platform to showcase and learn different things. The judges were highly impressed with the stupendous performance by all the participants.

Also note worthy was that the comparers for each event were the students of that grade level thus the competition was led by the NEW ERA students.

The NCC Cadets and Student’s Cabinet played an important role in organizing the event.
